Gunmen  suspected to  be robbers shot dead a policeman  and a civilian  near  Assemblies  of God  church  oguta road onitsha  anambra state.
  The  gunmen  disguised in  masquerade  costumes had  stopped  near  the  church  and on sighting  the policemen who were  at church  to provide  security , the  attackers  opened fire  at them and one  officer  died  immediately.

 According  to  eyewitness report, when  the  firing  became too hot,  the policemen  abandoned their  vehicle  and ran  for safety but the  gunmen  took  the riffle  that  belonged  to the  policeman that  was  killed.
