The director of vetenary services  and state ministry of Agriculture and natural resources of kano state Dr Shehu Bawa told news agency of Nigeria that the 340,000 birds that were killed  in 49 farms in the state.

It was reported that birdflu resurfaced in the state 2 months ago, Dr shehu Bawa further disclosed that 10 additional bird samples were still at the National vetenary institute  awaiting confirmation.
